Once Upon a Time… Sleeping Beauty was a show that replaced Merlin l’Enchanteur in 2008. It was performed on Castle Courtyard and retold the Sleeping Beauty scene in which Princess Aurora meets Prince Phillip.

Vasile Sirli arranged a new recording of the original Sleeping Beauty soundtrack with vocals provided by local opera performers. The costumes originated from the Christmas Parade.

Trivia

If you want to photograph a show on Castle Courtyard, make sure you arrive early as your view will get blocked easily. The balcony on Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant might offer an interesting angle.
